Dr. Rémy Roca

Dr Rémy Roca is the Directeur de Recherche with CNRS and works at the Laboratoire d’Etudes en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiale in Toulouse. Dr Roca’s interests concern the study of the water and energy cycle in the tropics and the use of satellite observations to investigate the tropical climate physics. His research is focused on the functioning of convective systems and their role in the water and energy budget. He is the PI of the Megha-Tropiques Indo- French satellite mission since 2007 and is part of the French science Team of the international, NASA-led AOS mission. Dr Roca is strongly involved with the international community and is a former chair of the WMO/CGMS/International Precipitation Working Group and leads the WCRP/GEWEX Data Analysis Panel since 2016.
