Dr Jagadeesha is a physicist with experience in simulation/sensitivity studies using atmospheric general circulation and chemical tracer transport models, retrieval of earth’s atmospheric parameters from radio occultation derived refractivity profiles, applications for heavy rainfall events, Automatic Weather Station (AWS) data quality control and analysis and also worked on coding derived geophysical parameters for INSAT-3D Data Processing System. He was a research scholar at Physical Research Laboratory during 1994 to 2000 during which time he got his Ph D degree in Physics and post-doctoral experience in the area of atmospheric modelling at University of Cape Town, South Africa and C-MMACS, NAL, Bangalore. He joined ISRO as a Scientist at Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad during 2005. He has published over 12 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and over 20 presentations in conferences and symposia. He is an external member of Faculty of Science, Bangalore University during 2021-22. He is a life member of India Meteorological Society (IMS) and executive member of IMS, Bangalore Chapter. He is currently working as Deputy Director, Science Programme Office, ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore.
