Dr. K. Kishore Kumar, a University Gold Medallist in Engineering Physics
discipline did his Ph.D. in Physics on the topic of radar remote sensing
of Tropical Mesoscale Convective Systems from National Atmospheric
Research Laboratory, Gadanki. His areas of research include Vertical
coupling processes in the atmosphere, large-scale circulations and cloud
interactions and radar remote sensing. He is recipient of INSA Young
Scientist award, IETE- Young Scientist Award as well as URSI Young
Scientist Award. He published more than 100 scientific papers in
peer-reviewed journals and currently he is heading the Atmospheric Dynamics
Division at Space Physics Laboratory, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre,
Trivandrum.
